Computers have become the part of everybody's life.Engineers and scientists use computers for difficult/tedious mathematical calculations.The commercial artists use computer as a subtstitue for his/her canvas.The business executives use the same as a decision-support system.It is used as an input/output system in various organizations like railways, airlines, banks, universities,hospitals and most other service providers.It is also used by children for games and for other recreation.

Computer As An Input System
In business and industry the primary function of a computer is the processing of data.A Factory converts raw materal into finished.The raw materials are the inputs and the finished products are the outputs. In a computer system raw data are the inputs and information are the outputs.Suppose one wants to use a computer to process the results of thousands of students in a examination.
